What Is Microneedling with Exosomes?
Microneedling is a collagen induction therapy that uses a precision device to create thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin. These micro-injuries trigger the skin’s natural wound-healing cascade, stimulating fibroblast activity, collagen synthesis, and tissue remodeling. This treatment is appropriate for most skin types and tones. Unlike laser-based resurfacing, microneedling does not rely on thermal energy or chromophores, which means it carries a low risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and is generally safe across Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI.

What is the difference between microneedling and microneedling with exosomes?
Standard microneedling relies entirely on your skin’s own wound-healing response to drive collagen production. Microneedling with exosomes supercharges that response by delivering concentrated growth factors, cytokines, and signaling proteins through the open channels created by the needles. The result is a more coordinated, amplified regenerative response — typically with faster visible improvement and a shorter inflammatory phase.
Are the exosomes derived from human cells?
It depends on the product. BENEV Exosome Regenerative Complex, our standard pairing, is derived from human adipose (fat) stem cells. It is not a substitute for treatments targeting significant tissue volume loss or deep structural laxity, for those concerns, we would discuss whether a combination approach makes sense.
How many treatments will I need?
For most skin concerns, we recommend a series of 3 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Some clients see meaningful improvement after a single session; others, particularly those addressing scarring or advanced photoaging, may benefit from additional treatments. We’ll give you an honest assessment at your consultation, not a package push.
What is the downtime?
Expect redness and mild swelling for 24–72 hours following treatment, similar in appearance to a moderate sunburn. Most clients are comfortable returning to normal activity the following day with mineral SPF. You will be advised to avoid active exfoliants, retinoids, and intense exercise for 48–72 hours post-treatment. We provide aftercare guidance specific to the exosome product used.
Is this the same as RF microneedling?
No. Radiofrequency (RF) microneedling, such as Morpheus8, combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy delivered through the needles to heat deeper tissue layers, primarily for skin tightening and fat remodeling. Traditional microneedling with exosomes uses mechanical channels only and focuses on surface-to-mid-dermis collagen induction and regenerative signaling. The two approaches target different mechanisms and different depths; the right choice depends on your primary concern.
Who is not a good candidate?
Active inflammatory acne, open wounds, or skin infections in the treatment area are contraindications. We also avoid treating over raised moles, suspicious lesions, or areas of active rosacea flares. Clients who are pregnant, immunocompromised, or taking certain medications (including isotretinoin within the past 6 months) should discuss their history with us before booking. When in doubt, we’ll refer to your physician.
